Supervisor
Job Summary
- Set Up and Maintain asbestos work enclosures.
- Use, store, and maintain respiratory protective equipment correctly.
- Use, store, and maintain personal protective equipment correctly.
- Position equipment, signage, waste routes and transit routes appropriately.
- Work in a way that ensures asbestos exposure is prevented or minimised.
- Report, record, and correct defects with plant, RPE, PPE and work methods.
- Appropriately handle, package, and store asbestos waste.
- Decontaminate plant and premises.
- Carry out effective personal decontamination.
- Conform to health, safety, and welfare in the workplace requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
Paperwork
- Timesheets to be correctly filled out and accurate.
- Mask sheets to be correctly filled out and accurate.
- Both above to be returned by 12:30 Monday or a flat week will be paid. Any variations will be dealt with and a call will be placed to the effected parties.
- All site paperwork to be filled out and returned to the office immediately – To include, completion cert, waste notes, method etc.
- Holiday forms to be checked against the diary by OM prior to be authorised.
Plant and Equipment
- All plant and equipment will be issued to the Van; These will be the supervisors responsibility.
- All issues to be reported immediately: these will be tracked and investigated.
- Vehicle damages must be reported – They will then be investigated and then referred to driver’s policy.
- A plant condition report will be completed for all returning plant so that any issues can be resolved.
Hire equipment.
- Prior to hiring all items must be approved by the CM
- Order directly with speedy and obtain order number from the office.

- Hire equipment – Speedy/ Asbestos Go office
- Escalations (unhappy with the response from above) – MD
Pay Rates

Pay: To be determined

Overtime will be based on day rate TBD.
- Overtime must be approved by CM And will be monitored.
- £20 – working away.
- £5 – Breakfast
- £10 Dinner
Working Hours
- 48 Working week – Times will be job specific, indicated by the CM and the RAM’s.
- 10 Hour days – Including breaks.
- First hour traveling excluded.
- Last Hour traveling excluded.
- When leaving site due to completed works, the CM must be informed prior to leaving site. Once the CM has been informed the OM will be informed.
- Licensed works require us to be onsite for the full times listed – Legal requirement.
Positive work attitude
- Problems on site are to be discussed with the CM and not the client.
Working Away
- Working away is classified as over 2 hrs away from the base of operations.
- Hotels will be booked – you may look for alternatives within budget and must be authorised prior to booking.
- No overtime will be paid if individuals decide to travel.
- If individuals decide to travel, fuel will be personal, and the company fuel card cannot be used.
