Notification of Project to Enforcing Authorities
Where applicable, The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, Regulation 9(1), require that the Enforcing Authorities be given 14 days Statutory advance notice of the commencement of Works involving certain types of Asbestos containing materials, namely: sprayed coatings, laggings and asbestos insulation board. The ASB5 Notification Document must be forwarded to either the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) or the Local Authority Environmental Health Office (EHO). The specific Enforcing Authority involved is determined by the nature of the work being carried out and the type and use of the premises.
We require 1 weeks’ notice to prepare and submit the notification of asbestos abatement works to the relevant enforcing authority, plus the statutory 2 week notification period for approval, thereby giving a total of 3 weeks’ notice required prior to commencement on site.

Meetings are held to maintain consistency.
